Description

Coonawarra is a welcoming and newly updated established family beach house, conveniently located in Blairgowrie. Guests can easily walk to the Bridgewater Bay for spectacular coastal scenery of Mornington Peninsula National Park. Alternately you can walk to Blairgowrie shops for a bite to eat or a coffee. Guests will appreciate the attention to detail, the light filled character of the home and the accompanying sense of comfort and relaxation.

Coonawarra offers gorgeous accommodation for up to 8 guests with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 living areas. The house itself has a fresh modern Australian beach décor and is set in an established coastal style garden.

The full-width front timber deck leads guests indoors and opens straight into 1 of 2 living areas, with timber floors, through to the rear of the property. This front area can be a kid’s entertainment room, perfect for non-beach days.

Guests will immediately feel at home as they walk through to the large open plan, lounge and dining room where picture windows allow the outside in. Enjoy some TV, grab a good book or listen to some soothing music as you sit back and relax on plump comfy couches. An extendable dining table will be a hub for guests to get together for meal times or a board game.

Sliding doors open onto side and rear outdoor decks. The rear entertainer’s deck, where indulgent BBQ meals or drinks with friends can be enjoyed and overlooks the backyard. Relax and soak up the sea breeze, with a vista over the surrounding tree tops. A retractable awning over this deck provides welcome shade on hot summer days. The second side deck is another spot you can retreat to and enjoy the great outdoors.

The refurbished kitchen at Coonawarra, is fully equipped and includes, fridge, electric stove and oven, as well as dishwasher and microwave. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and all the other cooking gear is supplied, so you can cater for all meals, big and small to suit your needs. A breakfast bar with stools is perfect for snack time.

The 3 large bedrooms at Coonawarra all offer built-in robes, are carpeted throughout, and have little extras such as bedside tables and lamps. Bedroom 1 comes with a queen size bed with bonus ensuite and walk-in-robe. Bedroom 2 also has a queen bed whilst bedroom 3 offers 2 single beds, plus a further pull-out sofa bed is located in the first living room. All beds in bedrooms (not the sofa bed) are supplied with lovely fresh linen, including mattress and pillow protectors, fitted and top sheets and pillows slips plus doonas and covers. Extra blankets are available as well. Blinds on windows and doors as well as flyscreens throughout the house, guarantee extra comfort and privacy.

As mentioned, an ensuite bathroom is attached to a queen bedroom and has a shower, vanity and toilet. The neat family bathroom, has a bath tub which families with young children will appreciate, as well as a separate shower and vanity. The toilet is separate. All new bath towels and face washers are supplied for each booked guest, as well as bathmats and hand towels for each bathroom.

Outside, garden beds are a nice touch and the lawn area at the rear can be a fun spot for the kids to play. The property is fully fenced at the rear.

Guest comfort is guaranteed all-year round. Evaporative cooling throughout the house for summer relief, whilst a wall space heater and wood heater in the main loungeroom, means you will be toasty warm during the cooler months.

Ample car parking is available in the carport under the house as well as in the driveway.

Please note Coonawarra is a registered Short Stay Accommodation property and all guests are required to abide by with Mornington Peninsula Shire Short Stay Accommodation Code of Conduct. Details of the Code will be made available to guests prior to arrival and a copy is available in the property Guest Book located at the house.

Schoolies groups cannot be accommodated at Coonawarra.

Stunning property

My partner and I stayed for just a couple of nights over the Portsea Polo weekend and we couldn't speak more highly of the accommodation. Clean and well decorated, with everything we needed. The location was exactly what we were looking for - nestled in the quiet streets of Blairgowrie but close enough to the main spots. Highly recommend!

We stayed in a beach house and it was most enjoyable. A great little house with plenty of space, lovely outdoor area and garden fenced off and great for children and dogs. Especially loved that it was quiet enough for proper R+R, but also close enough to the action when you feel like venturing out! Would definitely stay again!
